These terms apply from the time they are made available and accepted by the user. They do not retroactively amend earlier orders. They are supplemented by the Terms of Sale and the applicable published version of the Privacy Policy.
Navisteer is a service connecting people in the maritime and inland waterway sectors, published by Yannick JEAN-AIMÉE, a sole trader operating under the trade name OCEANS NEXUS, RCS de Papeete 26 827 A, TAHITI number E57875. Full contact details appear in the Legal Notice. Contact: admin@navisteer.app.
The platform enables candidates to present their experience, search for jobs and apply, and recruiters to post vacancies, search profiles and communicate with candidates. Paid services are governed by the Terms of Sale. Creating an account and accepting these Terms of Use does not constitute a paid order.
OCEANS NEXUS is not a party to any employment or service contract concluded between users and does not guarantee recruitment. The employer and candidate check the regulatory conditions for employment, qualifications, insurance and required authorisations.
The services are reserved for natural persons who are at least 18 years old. A person acting for a company or organisation must be authorised to represent it. Users provide accurate information, verify their email address and keep their information up to date.
Users protect their authentication credentials and report unauthorised use to admin@navisteer.app. Access depends on the role, account status and rights granted. A recruiter's registration is based on a declaration and does not certify their identity or company.
The accounts available at launch are candidate and recruiter accounts. Training centres listed in the catalogue have neither an independent registration option nor a vacancy posting service. Any opening of new services will be announced separately.
Candidates keep their experience, availability, qualifications and expiry dates up to date. They do not provide medical data or documents unrelated to the requested service. The displayed reference port does not constitute permanent GPS tracking.
The “declared” status is based on information supplied by the candidate. A verification indication relates solely to the identified check of the qualification concerned; it does not guarantee current fitness to practise. A qualification's validity, authenticity and equivalence are distinct concepts.
When PDF import is offered in the account, it is optional and serves to pre-fill fields. The candidate checks and confirms the extracted fields. This processing does not certify the document or establish any equivalence. Manual entry remains available; information about providers and processing is displayed before submission.
Unlocking means that, at the request of an authenticated recruiter holding the required right, the profile data needed to contact and recruit the candidate are made available. Depending on the information entered and applicable rights, it provides access to first name, surname, email address, telephone number, professional experience and structured CV, nationalities and rights to work, and visible qualifications: references, issuing body and country, dates, validity and verification status. The photograph remains subject to its visibility rules.
A PDF CV may be generated from accessible structured fields. Unlocking does not give access to the PDF imported for pre-filling, an older uploaded CV, medical data, passwords, sessions, payment information or internal moderation files.
Purchased standard access lasts 30 days from unlocking. Complimentary access follows the common expiry date of the launch offer; partner rights follow their specific terms. Withdrawal of the profile, closure of the account or a legitimate security restriction may end access. If OCEANS NEXUS fails to perform a paid Navisteer access service, the client recruiter's rights are governed by the Terms of Sale.
The recruiter uses the information exclusively for lawful and relevant recruitment, limits access to authorised persons and protects retained copies. Expiry of access within Navisteer does not erase a copy already obtained: the recruiter is responsible for its retention and deletion under their own obligations. Reselling profiles, scraping data and solicitation unrelated to recruitment are prohibited.
The recruiter chooses the qualifications, certifications and years of experience required for the vacancy. The engine compares these requirements with the information declared. A mismatch may prevent an application for that vacancy without barring access to the service as a whole. No professional criterion is mandatory by default.
The check does not rely on AI scoring or a generalised analysis of CVs. Viewing a vacancy does not submit an application or trigger a review request. Declared or verified status, nationality and visas are not blocking criteria for this engine.
The candidate sees the reasons for the block. They may correct their profile or request human review by submitting their observations. The recruiter may confirm the block or allow the application, with an explanation. A difficulty in exercising this review right may be reported to admin@navisteer.app. The legal characterisation of the check and associated rights are described in the Privacy Policy.
Expiry of a qualification is not, by itself, an automatic blocking reason in the current engine. The recruiter remains required to check the qualifications and conditions of the role. An authorised application is neither a hiring decision nor regulatory authorisation to practise.
The candidate service is free. The recruiter launch offer includes one vacancy and four candidate accesses in total for two calendar months from registration, under the Terms of Sale. Paid services are available when opened and after a separate order. No payment or paid subscription automatically follows the free period.
Content must be accurate, lawful and relevant to the service. False vacancies, impersonation, harassment, unlawful discrimination and content infringing the rights of others are prohibited. Users retain rights in their content and grant OCEANS NEXUS only the permissions needed to host and present it within the service for the justified period.
Content and conduct may be reported within the application or to admin@navisteer.app. After review, OCEANS NEXUS may request a correction, restrict visibility, remove content or suspend access proportionately. A report alone does not automatically trigger a sanction. Where circumstances permit, the user is informed of the reason and may submit observations. Immediate measures may be taken to protect individuals or the service.
OCEANS NEXUS takes the measures necessary for the operation and security of the service. Maintenance or an incident may interrupt access. Rights arising from a paid service that has not been performed are handled under the Terms of Sale; closing a vacancy after recruitment is not equivalent to non-performance by Navisteer.
Each party is liable for its obligations and fault under applicable law. No clause excludes statutory guarantees, liability for gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing, or any mandatory user right.
Users may close their account through the available process or request closure at admin@navisteer.app. A proportionate identity check may be required. The profile and private access are removed from the active service. Shared data, logs and archives follow the Privacy Policy and applicable obligations; closure does not retroactively extinguish contractual obligations.
The Privacy Policy describes processing, roles, recipients and individuals' rights. Reading it and accepting these Terms of Use do not constitute general consent to all processing.
For operations that Navisteer carries out as a processor on the recruiter's behalf, the recruiter determines the recruitment purpose, necessary categories and documented instructions. The separately presented data processing agreement governs these operations after documented acceptance by the parties, together with the instructions and the named list of specifically authorised sub-processors. This agreement must be concluded before the operations concerned are carried out. A separate agreement meeting Article 28 may replace it for the same scope. A mere request to unlock a profile does not dispense with this framework. Unlocking never authorises the disclosure of data beyond the access rights described in Article 4.
Communications use an encrypted connection. Access is controlled on the server according to the account, role and validity of the right; accessible documents undergo specific checks. Technical personnel access data only for their duties and under applicable confidentiality conditions. These measures reduce risk without providing an absolute guarantee that incidents will not occur.
A complaint may be sent to admin@navisteer.app or to the publisher's postal address. Free recourse to mediator CM2C is described in the Legal Notice and the Terms of Sale. It does not deprive users of the right to bring a claim before a competent court.
Material amendments are brought to users' attention and are subject to renewed acceptance where necessary. They do not retroactively amend an order. The contract is governed by the law applicable in French Polynesia, without depriving a consumer of the mandatory provisions of the law of their habitual residence where they apply, particularly where activities are directed there. No exclusive jurisdiction in Papeete is imposed on consumers.
